Who Is The Leash Professional? Meet Ajay Barde!

My life changed when I rescued my dog Rayne. Rayne opened up my heart and helped me discover a passion for pups. I grew to love everything that encompassed dog ownership – walking, obedience training and most importantly relaxing on the couch together. He has taught me how to read a dog’s signals, understand their daily needs and most importantly, be patient.

My time with Rayne led me to become a volunteer at the Animal Rescue League of Boston where I helped walk and get dogs ready for adoption. I also worked at a large, reputable pet care company to hone my skills and learn about the industry. Simultaneously, I grew my own dog walking client base which rapidly turned into my business, The Leash Professional!
I am committed to continuous learning through working with my own dog, self-study and shadowing other pet care professionals like dog trainers. I have also completed the Cat & Dog First Aid Certification through the American Red Cross as well as animal behavior training.

These diverse experiences equip me to handle:
-Dogs of all sizes and breeds
-Senior dogs and puppies
-Dogs with behavioral issues, such as reactivity on walks or leash pulling

Previously, I spent a number of years in the world of technology product management. I made the decision to leave the space to prioritize my passion for animals and being outdoors. Experiences in this field have helped me to effectively multitask, manage customer relationships and work under pressure – all of which can be applied to any career. Above all, I understand what it is like to have a high stress job and a dog at home. I am here to take care of your pup to help ease challenging work demands!
